Who was right and who was wrong in this movie? Do you think they discovered gold? Is gold still important today? I'll answer one of my questions. Gold was never discovered in any quantity in the Eastern United States. Think about this; has gold always been important for modern societies? Certainly, gold hunters help settle this land.
I live very close to a place that they believed there was gold there. Miners came from all over the world to hunt gold there, and they had a big town. No gold was ever found. What is "fools gold?"
They now believe that some of the bad guys, before Oklahoma became a state, hid money and gold among those rocks. Hmm, do you think they did?
